Sorry, but the more I listen to the CONSTANT tirades from spokespersons for Bush and Gore (both here in the newsgroups AND in the media) the more I see the parallels between this election chaos and the Clinton scandals. Over much of the past few years, the Republican Party kept itself busy making persistent and repeated efforts in pursuit of suspicious goings-on in the Clinton administration.
The Dems decried these activities as an effort by the Republicans to overturn the results of an election. They whined that the persistent, pain-in-the-neck Republicans should just leave things alone. As far as the sex stuff went, well, everybody does that (good old Newt came in handy right about then). Plus, there was no proof of definitive wrongdoing, and were just going on wild goose chases.
The Democrats were ONLY concerned of course, because the "will of the American people" was at stake. What a thoughtful bunch of leaders they were, right? The sinister shenanigans of the Republicans were part of a widespread conspiracy, targeted at depriving us of our duly elected president. The Dems claimed that the Repubs were trying to "overturn the 1996 election" (Like Dole would've taken over <G>). The Dems pointed out that the Repubs were relentlessly sending out their attack dogs (Linda Tripp, Ken Starr, Lucien Goldberg, etc.) in their feverish attempt to get to the ultimate target of their [perhaps well-deserved]hatred -- the much-despised team of "Bill and Hillary".
The Republicans responded that they had every right (and even puffed up and announced that they had a solemn, noble DUTY) To Preserve The American Way Of Life As We Know It. In order to achieve this, they explained, they needed to investigate every lead thoroughly, gallantly ignoring the frustrating dead-ends, not minding that they seemed to repeatedly get just to the BRINK of nailing Old Slick Willie. What troopers they were!
Yeah, that's right. During Whitewater, TravelGate, MonicaGate, etc., both parties became well-known for staying up nights agonizing over the constitutional rights of and the well-being of "We The People". The nobility and selflessness of both parties' leadership was nothing short of overwhelming.
From the Dems, we heard of the foolishness of all that time being wasted pursuing a lost cause, all the money wasted (NOTE: at $50 million, with 100 million households in America, that was the best entertainment THIS family will EVER get, and all for only a grand total of fifty CENTS). Dems wailed that the constant chipping away at the president brought with it the danger that our government was being brought to it's knees, the ridicule from other nations around the globe, the idea that we should have some respect [guffaw] for their Superb Specimen of a Human Being Slick Willie, who was -- after all, the President of the United States.
Meanwhile, the Repubs were justifying their actions by assuring us that we HAD to get to the bottom of it, even if it was painful, because it was the RIGHT thing to do. (chortle).
Dang, but I miss those days.
NOW, we have Dems turning over rocks all through Florida, finding little sleazy goings-on in precinct after precinct, insisting that we have to get to the root of a clean election. Rumors abound -- An absentee ballot allegedly misappropriated from the son of a U.S. District Court judge; reports that uniformed cops may have acted in a way that intimidated some potential voters and causing them to leave without voting; stories of ballots mysteriously disappearing and then reappearing in the trunk of a car; conspiracy theories; gossip of the implications of the involvement of former Mayor Suarez' in the administration or collection of absentee ballots. The Dems seem to turn up new scandals at amazing speed. Each is fodder for the media, helping to justify their vigorous pursuit of what they call justice. It's for our own good, they say. (Actually, just as I agreed with the Republicans that LAST time, I agree with the Dems right now -- we should clear the air on these issues to whatever extent possible, as well as pursuing remedies, IF ANY EXIST, that might be available for the more boring butterfly ballot fiasco.)
Meanwhile, the Republicans want us to just take a quick count, do the minimum required to get things back on the road, and then stop investigating. Persistence, it seems, is no longer a virtue. It is a character flaw.
The Repubs are screaming that, by chipping away at "every little picky incident", we're bringing about the Demise of Democracy On This Planet; they claim that -- since there's no hard evidence of significant wrongdoing -- we should just get over it, and move on to IMPORTANT stuff, like putting Bush in office. (ROFL)
They're getting REALLY good at the "everybody's doing it" defense to the sleazy election practices (let's hear two cheers for WISCONSIN!), the allegations that this is all (starting with the MEDIA announcement of results) a vast conspiracy, their insistence that Gore is sending attack dogs (Jesse Jackson et al) after poor old GW and his little brother, and they feel the Dems should stop making absurd attempts -- after all, it's obvious that Bush Won, and That's The Way The Election Went And Now Gore Should Get Over It And Move On -- that he might get CLOSE to a win, but he won't get a victory. Besides, the government is crumbling around us, we have VITAL deadlines to meet, the world is laughing at us, and we should just accept the way things are, and show some respect for their President Incarnate, George Dubya.
I'm stunned. It's like I'm at the very end of Orwell's "Animal Farm", and I'm looking in that farmhouse window watching the babbling and arguing between the pigs and the farmers -- and I honestly can't tell which is which any more.

You have made a mistake here and not recognized the real truth
behind this all. Firstly we have a dysfunctional society now addicted
to gambling, sex, entertainment, drugs, music, work, politics,
power, greed, money, materialism, Internet and even religion.
This had occurred during the past 75 year's spiritual regression
of this once Republic. We then produced offspring from the parents
who then produced corrupted future immature supposed to be adults
who have never grown up.
When time came to elect the present leadership and our government
officials, we had elections where now we have a majority of dysfunctional
citizens voting . These include millions who are constantly looking
for a way to destoy the system and even produce voters who do
multiple-voting hoping that it will turn it into their favor.
This has come about by the many centuries of brainwashing techniques
and propaganda produced by the evil-side of the ruling party.
There is a difference in people who believe in
decency and what is correct (which includes the rule of law) but
insist upon the importance of respect and honor for life and freedom.
The basics of the Ten Commandments comes into place here. Look
back at the Israelites coming out of Egypt and how they lost their
heads and needed correction and discipline which is now unheard
of in this dyscfunctional society which now leans upon support
systems of every kind particularly drugs and pleasure seeking
to make them FEEL good. Feeling good is not doing that which is
correct but that which has come from their corrupt programming
over many years like any addiction.
By perceptive nature, all people should recognize the difference
between good and evil. They FEEL that something is different although
many do not know what it truly is. They resolve themselves to
a yearning or to most a strong NEED to inner solutions in their
lives/ Most people miss out here. Those who yearn to find the
truth find themselves moving back to their original innocence
of Creation and a spirituality full of morality and values, with
respect for oneanother.
The majority today has lost its way with confusion as they elect
corrupt and evil leaders who are they themselves lost. They do
not understand that they needed to resolve the very first experiences
which turned them against Creation and absolute reality. They
had predators near them while they were growing up and from these
predators came abused, hurt and violated electorates. They do
not know who they are or what they are. They are victims of their
corrupted parents and now are victims of the corrupt government
they elected. this is exactly how communism began and of course
fascism (Nazism).
People should see the difference between good and evil but if
one is evil than one cannot see evil as good but good as evil

base is conservatism and when in power and in the White House

economy for a nation of people who place their personal security
before decency and morality. In true essence, they get what they
deserve as we always do. Chaos in America had been predicted centuries
ago and today you are now seeing Chaos. Chaos comes from chaotic
and psychotic individuals grasping for air in a life of helplessness

3 to 4%". Where did that all disappear to? -- Voter Fraud?

(5) If the ballot information booklet includes pages containing candidates for office and pages containing public measures or propositions to be voted on, the election official in charge of the election shall divide the pages by protruding tabs identifying the division of the pages which relate to candidates, constitutional amendments, bond referenda, or other propositions.

(6) IF AN ELECTOR MARKS MORE NAMES than there are persons to be elected to an office OR if it is impossible to determine the elector's choice, the elector's ballot SHALL NOT BE COUNTED for that office, but the ballot shall not be invalidated as to those names which are properly marked.
I don't care much about complaining till all
the votes are in, but I don't think it was proper to call Chelsea

Yes, I've been watching the reports of the ballots there -- the "as far as practical [practicable? can't remember]"
language will be the focus of the legal decision, as that's just
about the only subjective determination the judge would have to
consider. The fact that the OTHER districts were able to fit the
names on a single page will be part of the evidence showing that
it WAS "practical" to place all names on one side, so
this ballot would be in violation of that rule(assuming that Palm
Beach isn't home to EVERY cataract-inflicted octogenarian in Florida).
On the other hand, the judge could find that violating that particular
rule isn't sufficient to call for a new vote, and he would (in
all probability) point to the precedents that seem to just toss
those votes out entirely.
No, the "sleazy goings on" are plentiful, even without the Palm Beach butterfly ballot fiasco. A glance at the Miami papers, etc., shows that.

the election in Florida.
It turns out that Andre Fladell, a supposedly "confused" Palm Beach County voter, who was trotted out to the media by local
lawyers as someone who inadvertently cast his ballot for a candidate
other than his choice, is a longtime Democrat activist who was
once found guilty of Medicare fraud.
Fladell is a plaintiff in a law suit to overturn the election and have a new election held in Palm Beach County.
The Sun-Sentinel reported in 1988 that "Palm Beach County political power broker Andre Fladell has been fined $1,000 and given a six months professional licensing probation for his role in a Medicare fraud case. ..."
You must be proud of Al, right? After all, the DemocRATic Party is just a fraud when it says it cares for people. The Dems hate the blacks, palin and simple. They enjoy being Massahs over the blacks and will do anything to keep them

If the Gore camp wants to talk about Voter Fraud
What about the seemingly thousands of votes appearing for Gore
everytime they recount the votes.
Also this notion of people marking their ballots in pencil is
absurd. The ballots are punch-hole cards that are setup so that
only while the cards are inserted in the machine, do you know
which holes correspond to which candidate, and while the cards
are inserted - theres is NO WAY to mark on them!!
In Ohio where I voted, Mr Bush was at the bottoom
of the list, while Mr Gore was at the top. You had to hunt for
Mr Bush. I heard a statement on the news that Mr Gore and Mr Bush
should be at the top of the list, and I say "WRONG".
It makes it to easy for the illiterate to to vote. Mr Gore would
probably say that there should only be one name that way the illiterate
will understand that one vote for the future president is enough.
The ballots are plain enough, and if you punch a wrong hole, so
be it. You should be a little smarter than that. Then if you are
not smart enough to get the right hole, you have a problem.

Gore has not been a Vice-President for 9 months. We have paid
his salary for what ...to undermine our electoral college and

I always viewed IMUS as a bit right of center.
But as I watch the compaints of the seniors, his opinion today

He thought that the confusion was caused by the "Get out
the vote" folks that drove these seniors to vote and told
them to punch the second hole. That sure makes more sense than
the argument about a confusing ballot.
I thought the 'Get out the Vote' cause was only to drive those who didn't have transportation to the polls. I didn't realize the Gore Camp was telling people how or where to mark this ballot for Gore. I doubt those that had this happen to them will come forth now. I wish they would forth though, because this is indeed exploitation of the Elderly, handicapped, and less fortunate.

You have not yet recognized the difference. In America we have
always had a party for the betterment of the people and an adverse
party which needs to win over the people no matter what and how

right and correct for all of us. There is no real feeling in joy
but a natual bliss which very few have experienced in the world
today. Good people have no followers or leaders, not even a government,

some type of voter fraud against Gore because Bush's lead was

Phipps said he received at least three dozen complaints from constituents that Democratic campaign workers for Al Gore and state assemblyman Philip Brutus unfairly and illegally violated the 50-foot rule around some precincts in Little Haiti.
The rule prohibits workers from interfering with voters' access to the polls or trying to pressure them.
Some campaign volunteers actually entered the precincts, Phipps said, telling voters what holes to punch and forcing sheets of paper into their hands with the numbers to punch listed on them.
Pauline Charles, a campaign worker for Brutus's opponent, Republican Reggie Thompson, said she saw volunteers helping voters fill out their ballots.
"I heard him tell him, 'Say no to all of this, punch this number and make sure you vote for Gore. Punch number 85, I mean 86 for Brutus.' And you know, giving them exact numbers to the point where he had it written down on a piece of paper just in case they got confused and they'd take the piece of paper and punch in the numbers," Charles said.
"It was wrong," said co-worker Kathy Brinson. "It was wrong for my candidate. We were outside, 50 feet away from the building like the rules said and [the election official] was letting him inside and nothing was said. It wasn't fair."
Charles and Brinson complained to election officials repeatedly. Finally, they called the police, and election officials removed the political partisans from the voting area.
But critics say countless Haitian voters at several precincts were unfairly influenced to vote for a straight Democratic ticket.
"It's not a matter of whether you had a chance to win the race. But you'd like to think that in a democracy, you'd like to hear everyone has an equal chance," Thompson, the aggrieved candidate, said.

The same type of butterfly ballot exsists in Cook County, IL (democratically

Unfortunately John, we won't know the true results. You see, the
hand count is only being done in 4 democratic counties....in ZERO
republican counties.
Also, it is my understanding that they are changing the standard
for how ballots will be counted during the re-count. They are
going to take the invalidated votes and try to "determine" what the will of the voter was.
If this were to be a true hand-count where the results would be even close to being fair, there would need to be a hand-count in ALL florida counties.
This is just another Dem tactic to try to taint the election even more.
Obviously, you failed to listen when the state
attorney explained that the only valid reason for a manual recount
is machine malfunction.
The county supervisor, a Dem, told us that the bad votes were
the result of voter error - NOT machine malfunction.
How in Hades can any American be proud of the railroading we just witnessed on INTERNATIONAL TV. I can promise you that the rest of the world listened to BOTH sides since they are neither Dem or GOP.
I've lived in Europe and Asia. I can tell you that folks there will compare the law, as stated by the state attorney, and the actual outcome. They'll be asking, "What part of 'malfunction' does that old lady not understand?"

You don't do it just where you think you can get ahead. If you do it for one let's do it for all of them and if we are going to have a revote let's make sure we do it for every American citizen! I have written the Vice President the same message with my full name, telephone and address as always. By the way I am a liberal but I didn't vote for Nader and after Gore called Bush and then turned around and withdrew his concession I would not trust him to know what he is doing about anything. In Manual Recount, Gore picked up 33, Bush 14, a total of 47 new
Votes. Gore got about 70% of the extra votes
In the original vote, Bush got about 153,000 to Gore's 269,000
for a total of 422,000 or so. Gore got about 70% of the original
votes as well in this heavily Dem county.
Conclusion-- the machine is not biased. If the recounts were done
in a Repub county then the Bush pickup would be more and the Gore
less.

are only recounting HEAVILY DEMOCRATIC counties, Palm Beach County
was in the recount about 70% Gore. The manual recount gave Gore
33 votes and Bush 14 for a net gain of +19. This proves the machine
is unbiased, there were 70% more new votes (33/47) for Gore. If
they recounted REPUBLICAN counties, the Bush count would go up
more than Gore. The machines are unbiased and manual counts can
only be done where mechanical error. The MACHINES ARE WORKING
FINE.

potential accurate (depends on how its assessed) count for that
county. But was your Ballot counted? How do you know, perhaps

What part of "human error does not count" do you not understand?
This is an interesting difference between liberal
and conservative philosophies. Conservatives tend to be sticklers

must be stupid not to push the pin/needle all the way. This is

Nobody is afraid of the truth, but what is the truth? Is it more true to allow humans who probably are biased to decide how the voter really wanted to vote? Conducting Elections And Ascertaining The Results View Entire
Chapter
102.166 Protest of election returns; procedure.--
(1) Any candidate for nomination or election, or any elector qualified to vote in the election related to such candidacy, shall have the right to protest the returns of the election as being erroneous by filing with the appropriate canvassing board a sworn, written protest.
(2) Such protest shall be filed with the canvassing board prior to the time the canvassing board certifies the results for the office being protested or within 5 days after midnight of the date the election is held, whichever occurs later.
(3) Before canvassing the returns of the election, the canvassing board shall:
(a) When paper ballots are used, examine the tabulation of the paper ballots cast.
(b) When voting machines are used, examine the counters on the machines of nonprinter machines or the printer-pac on printer machines. If there is a discrepancy between the returns and the counters of the machines or the printer-pac, the counters of such machines or the printer-pac shall be presumed correct.
(c) When electronic or electromechanical equipment is used, the canvassing board shall examine precinct records and election returns. If there is a clerical error, such error shall be corrected by the county canvassing board. If there is a discrepancy which could affect the outcome of an election, the canvassing board may recount the ballots on the automatic tabulating equipment.
(4)(a) Any candidate whose name appeared on the ballot, any political committee that supports or opposes an issue which appeared on the ballot, or any political party whose candidates' names appeared on the ballot may file a written request with the county canvassing board for a manual recount. The written request shall contain a statement of the reason the manual recount is being requested.
(b) Such request must be filed with the canvassing board prior to the time the canvassing board certifies the results for the office being protested or within 72 hours after midnight of the date the election was held, whichever occurs later.
(c) The county canvassing board may authorize a manual recount. If a manual recount is authorized, the county canvassing board shall make a reasonable effort to notify each candidate whose race is being recounted of the time and place of such recount.
(d) The manual recount must include at least three precincts and at least 1 percent of the total votes cast for such candidate or issue. In the event there are less than three precincts involved in the election, all precincts shall be counted. The person who requested the recount shall choose three precincts to be recounted, and, if other precincts are recounted, the county canvassing board shall select the additional precincts.
(5) If the manual recount indicates an error in the vote tabulation which could affect the outcome of the election, the county canvassing board shall:
(a) Correct the error and recount the remaining precincts with the vote tabulation system;
(b) Request the Department of State to verify the tabulation software; or
(c) Manually recount all ballots.
(6) Any manual recount shall be open to the public.
(7) Procedures for a manual recount are as follows:
(a) The county canvassing board shall appoint as many counting teams of at least two electors as is necessary to manually recount the ballots. A counting team must have, when possible, members of at least two political parties. A candidate involved in the race shall not be a member of the counting team.
(b) If a counting team is unable to determine a voter's intent in casting a ballot, the ballot shall be presented to the county canvassing board for it to determine the voter's intent.
(8) If the county canvassing board determines the need to verify the tabulation software, the county canvassing board shall request in writing that the Department of State verify the software.
(9) When the Department of State verifies such software, the department shall:
(a) Compare the software used to tabulate the votes with the software filed with the Department of State pursuant to s. 101.5607; and
(b) Check the election parameters.
(10) The Department of State shall respond to the county canvassing board within 3 working days.

Yea, Gore received more votes in 4 out of 67 counties, so what? He will end up with less total votes, if history holds, than Bush nationally, becuase when all the absentee ballots, which tend to run about 60% Republican, are counted, 1,000,000 in California alone, his pathetic national "mandate" will evaporate. I did not think Gore was as big a fraud as Clinton, but he has proven me to be wrong. At this point I tend to doubt that I will ever again vote for ANY Demo-rat.

What planet are you from? Any time you give someone to actually
touch each ballot, you give them the opportunity to alter it.
Given what we all know about algore and his henchman daily (as
in Chicago vote stealing daily), you have to know that this is
a take no prisoners attempt to illegally seize power and subvert
the Constitution.
Strongly disagree. The Dems under Gore leadership
with Daley/Jackson playing Chicago-style corrupt politics are
putting the Constitution on a slippery slope--they are undoing
the entire federal election process. Of course there are irregularities
in Florida and in the rest of the country, but now is not the
time to fix them--take 4 years to put in place modern equipment
and techniques.
Bush, regardless of how some feel, has won the election based
on the rules and procedures established. To pursue hand recounting
is dangerous because it has to be unbiased and unpartisan. How
to do this? Well, if 4 counties selected by the Dems, then the
Republicans should also get 4 counties--and the process would
have to be repeated in every state--we will be into the next elections
before that is done. Why should one county get preferred treatment?
Another point is that the electoral college process is a good system. I didn't think so before these elections, but now believe the Founding Fathers got it right. The President should represent the entire country, not only the most populated areas. So, we do not need to amend the Constitution just yet, as Hillary would have us do, even before she is sworn in.
Finally, the elections were handled in the
best manner possible given the technology available. The Dems
or Gore supporters are not satisfied and are now pushing hand
recounts. The Republicans have rightly pointed out the perils
of continuing and in the process unraveling the Constitutional
process. Can they be more patriotic and less partisan? I would
certainly hope so because I have more faith in the US and its
institutions and checks and balances than the Dems appear to have.

All of the latter caused by the rich who buy the government we have who then must then cater to the weak to stay in power like any addiction in a vicious cycle based upon evil intent.
As the society puts pressure (evil) on the
weaker citizens they become even more weaker and dependent and
resort to hand-outs and drugs (even mdicines to support the illnesses

an addictive state of mind, a very unconscious altered state.
This is what has occurred in America and we now do not have mental growth but mental degeneration, the makings of a communist country sooner or later. If the anger in the white majority of America grows, caused by the deliberate undermining of the spiritual base by liberal socialists, we will see a potential growth for fascism similar to Nazi Germany. All it will take is a severe recession to depression level. I suggest that members of BOTH parties, as well as those of us
who abandoned the parties long ago, learn to stop letting sick
individuals define what we stand for.
It is unfair of YOU to assume this person is a "liberal"

I have hundreds of friends and relatives and acquaintances, all

My philosophy is that the whole thing is being run by, oh, maybe a couple dozen guys, none of whose names we know <G>. They just need us all to be good little hamster-wheel turners, and they buy our politicians to make sure that they keep us all arguing so we don't start for the source of the problem.
They get the conservatives to turn the hamster wheels by preaching personal responsibility (which sounds suspiciously to me like "every man for himself". Pretty much the antithesis of the Judeo-Christian ethic, which is something like 'worry not what you shall wear, nor what you shall eat' and 'the way you treat the least of these is the way you treat Me' and 'Oh ye of little faith, God thy Father will care for you, you just worry about loving other people' kind of stuff ... when I started paying attention to the Bible was when I finally stopped my decades-long habit of voting the Republican party line. It simply didn't stand up to scrutiny for me. And of course I couldn't join the Democrats, as I'm pretty sure many of THEM don't have a Bible <that was good-natured teasing, folks>) Anyway, getting the conservatives to turn the wheel is pretty easy, as long as the conservative can see that work-hard-and-you'll-succeed is working for him (or at least for MOST of the people around him. So that if it fails for him, it's obviously HIS fault; he probably figures that he's just not being a good hamster wheel turner)
They get the liberals to turn the wheel by leading them to believe that the government owes them a hamster wheel, and that someone in the government is actually going to buy them a brand new hamster wheel, with all the newest attachments, when this one breaks down from them spinning it so fast. This works out especially well because the liberals are pretty gullible, and they'll buy the later excuse, that the Democratic Party part of the government TRIED to buy them a brand new wheel, but those evil conservative Republicans voted down the legislation.
So they get us all so busy turning the wheel that we no longer have time for our families, just to keep the house from being foreclosed (been there. done that.) Then they go into the backroom together and slap each other on the back, laughing, and watch us all scramble to the polls to put OUR guy in office, as if it MATTERS, and say to one another "Just look at 'em. Like their vote is going to change who's running things. They're so CUTE when they do that."
The main thing is, they gotta keep us all believing that Land of Opportunity thing. Or we'll stop turning the wheel so fast, we'll hurt ourselves (and since many of us aren't insured, we all know what a mess THAT would be <G>)
So they throw us JUST enough crumbs (pathetic little earned income credits, or teensy little tax breaks on exorbitant college costs, that pale in comparison to the breaks they give themselves) so that we buy into the work-ethic if it works for us, or blame ourselves [if we're conservative] or blame the government [if we're liberal], or IDEALLY, we blame THE OPPOSITE PARTY, when it DOESN'T work for us. And it's working for fewer and fewer of us now, so it's even MORE important to keep us divided. Lord help them if we ever start getting together and listening to one another.

here, we have the rights of all Americans to be treated equally

The democratic party has opened Pandora's Box.
First, let me say that based upon the way our voting process is
currently designed it would be ridiculous to think that there
would be no inconsistencies. The question now is where is it fair
to stop the recount process? The democratic party has obviously
chosen those four precincts to recount since they are composed
of predominately democratic voters. Secondly, it has been suggested
that due to the inconsistencies that there be a revote there as
well. On this point, let me say that this would never work. And
you ask why? Because there were not just two parties running for
presidential office. Now that we know (based on the election results),that
Nadar and Buchanen did not receive the percentages that they were
anticipating their voters would be less apt to vote for them a
second time around thus giving us entirely different results.
I don't see how this could hold any water in court. A revote will
just not work. How many of us took exams in school received your
results back only to discover you had not read the question correctly
and thus answered incorrectly. Would we ever consider taking this
to the professor and telling them that we deserve a higher score
because we accidently misread the question? You and I know we
would just be out of luck just as the voters who voted incorrectly
should also be. You have one shot to vote. Read the ballot, if
it's unclear ask questions but don't wait until the results are
posted and then complain about the clarity of a ballot. The curve
has been determined now live wThis is making a mockery of our
voting system. There anomalies called that Buchanan received 3,500
votes -- but the state reform candidate in the same county, on
the same ballot received over 2,500 votes.
We have gone to discounting the 99% of voters in Florida that
took the time to fill out their ballots correctly to giving more
weight to voters that did not pay attention to their ballot, punched
two holes -or didn't punch a hole at all. Now democratic political
appointees are determining who our next president will be.
We are seeing VP Gore and his team willing
to do anything to become president. They are underminding the
faith of every American to ever believe in the validity of an
election. We will be mired from this point foI personally voted
and don't appreciate my vote - done with deliberation and thoughtfulness
- being weighted less than the person that didn't punch a hole,
punched two holes, or was confused.
Maybe you feel comfortable with democratic appointees deciding
the fate of this election reading the mind of voters, counting
and recounting until their guy wins, but I see this as underminding
of our voting process that will haunt this nation's future elections.
Only democratic confused, punch deficient people are given the right for their votes to be personally examined by partisan politicians and PUT back into the mix - to give their candidate a win.
This isn't democracy at work - this partisan
politics at work - legitimized fraud in Florida done on TV for
everyone to see. Mass confusion, people holding cards up to the
light, arguing about the attachment of a chad.

DR.ROY FOSTER: MORE FEMALES IN HIGH POSITIONS OF POWER? THE DANGER OF HILLARY.
I have studied mental growth for over 20 years
and discovered that females do not belong in high leadership positions
of power. That means in positions such as Senator, Congresswoman
or president. We could slide down to lower positions such as governor
of a state and be a little more lenient for these lower positions
of authority. There is a danger when they begin to feel the competitive
egotistical power which should only belong to men. There is a
destructive bent when this occurs.
Take for example the captain of a ship. Would you expect a woman to captain a large cruise ship or even any fairly large ship. I believe the answer would be no. There is a reason. It takes a real man to take the responsibility of such a difficult task. To be a real Senator or Congressman it takes a real man. To be a President it takes more than being a real man. A Governor of a state must be in the same category.
Now there is another reason. True authority
has a devine protocol, an order. Creator gave the first authority
to man and then came woman. Because the first man failed, the
first woman acted as a female and seduced the disobedient man
to weaken him at the same time. As long as that man gave in to
the female he further weakened his ability to be responsible to
his higher authority, Creator. The female-woman then, through
her seduction of man, turned him into a different entity a male
and then reversed the roles, however we forget one thing the female
never learned how to act as a man even in any physical way. Something
truly impossible to do by simply the nature of the woman. We see
some trying to but failing. The devine order still stands today
where real men must have total responsibility and be guided through
the allegiance to a higher power and through this order man cannot
be corrupted where there is no ego to corrupt. The female who
seduces the male-man takes on the ego identity of the failed male
and always lives through seduction of all men. Those men who take
on the identity of the female become seducers of the world like
we see in corrupt politicians everywhere. Adolph Hitler and Napoleon
are good examples. They have a feminine mindset and tend to lie
and create their own particular illusionary world like you have
seen in Al Gore and Bill Clinton. Bill Clinton is an example of
the male who grew from his childhhood angry at females, mother,
something he never resolved even until today. All his acts of
alleged rapes and sexual activities have come from this transfered
feminine identity now in him and because of his ego development
he needs to feel his anger through the sexual act like all rapist
do. The female he married feels this anger and feeds upon the
anger she has from hating her father. In this type of relationship,
a love hate one, their is no true spiritual love and respect for
one another but chronic hypocrisy and need. The female in this
relationship tends to be attracted to other females rather than
men, or to feminized males. The result may be homosexual and remains
there until the anger is resolved ,which may never ooccur. .
Now we can see that the female-woman serves
a purpose for male-men to gratify their ego-sexual need. Once
they have committed themselves to this they no longer can be responsible
to Creator but actually find themselves undermining every relationship.
They vote for the feminized male for president or the male-man
who gives them some feeling to satisfy their seductive nature.
This is why the female-women voted for Bill Clinton in 1992 and
especially in 1996. There had been a tendency for them to vote
for Al Gore too. although it changed somewhat because American
female-women were begining to see his characteristics from the
three debates as hypocritical and dishonest.
From the first moment female-women began voting, America began to be undermined by the seductive female. The decline of the strong man, the decline of morality and conscious awareness of the American public have much to do with the rise in power of the female-woman. As the years past through many generations we see today families with very weak males even to totally reverse their roles. This had been the downfall of the Roman Empire which is presently seen in today's societies. The more female-women find their way into high government positions of authority, powerful ones, the more America will slide. This has already happened... see for yourselves. Ask yourself. In a way the Blacks should be thanfulfor slavery.
If there had not been salvery they would still be in Africa dying

that years ago they would sit together with Chelsea and work themselves
over in some form of brainwashing techniques used by the communist.
Most likely they read these things in books such as the Communist
Manifesto of 1920's. Bill had done a lot of reading, I believe,
and has learned many ways to take charge of the masses through
propaganda and the techniques used by Adolph Hitler and other
psychopathic leaders from the past. When you need to "win" you will do anything for the ego.
I believe that the three of them sat together programming themselves
for the future in order that they would never be affected by anything.
They would build up shields in order to stop feeling the pain
(no conscience) and continue on through a path of deceit and hypocrisy

Goering, Heinrich and Goebels of the Hitler era. He attracted

their sex, and what about Roe Vs. Wade. Here in our country, her
husband approves a veto and hasn't done a thing about it for over

years. Please Hillary, if you love children and believe in god,
why do you
do what you do?
I think that there is no problem with women
representing a populace of
people. I also think however, due to their chemical changes, that
they
shouldn't hold military leadership positions. A senator is fine
but never the
president. Someone who is commander in chief of the military should
not
be undergoing monthly changes in their own body, nor should they
ever
be pregnant while in office.
I know this doesn't sound right but it does
have common sense. Men
based on their deeds not their ideals should be in military control
of our
country. Anything else is too risky.
I want to apologize to any women I make angry
with this statement. I
know there are many of you that could do an excellent job as president
but it is too great a risk to place on all of our safety.
This reply is not to EXDRINKER specifically,
but to the entire thread. I know
I will be jumping into the fire in more ways than one with my
reply, but I
just cannot help myself. I am an old-fashioned woman in many ways,
and
know that some of my views may disappoint some women.
Men have advantages over women in positions
of power, especially
military positions, simply because of the obvious physical differences
in
men and women. I do not contest this issue in any way. I do not
believe
that we could command any respect from other countries through
leadership by a woman. I think it would be viewed as a weakness
of our
country to be taken advantage of, especially as many other countries
do
NOT consider women to be the equal of men, right or wrong.
In military situations, men have an instinctual
drive to protect women that
would affect his ability to properly perform his duties vital
to the task at
hand. (As a matter of fact, sending women only to fight a particular
battle
might be an advantage against an enemy in and of itself for the
same
reason, but I digress.)
That said, it is arrogant to assume that, from
an aspect of mental capacity
and intelligence, women would be unable to run the country, the
military,
or any other form of high office. It is a shame to waste a great
mind
simply because it belongs to a woman.
I am not a feminist. I believe that someone
has to raise our children to
become responsible adults. I DO believe that our children are
becoming
delinquent due to inadequate during their formative years. We
simply
cannot afford to let our children be raised by the school systems,
which
are inadequately staffed and funded, nor by the day care centers,
who
are even more ill-equipped to give our children what they need.
NOR IS IT
THEIR JOB. However, over the years our economy has become such
that
both parents MUST work in order to make ends meet. The only ones
who
suffer are our children, who should not be left to make their
own way in a
world where media dominates their experience.
I also must point out that when our country
was in its innocence and at its
greatest, women were at home raising their children, and turning
out
well-rounded and responsible adults. Not men. If this is not a
tribute to
capability of a woman's leadership, I do not know what is.

Yes, definitely we should keep the electoral college. It is the only safeguard that our President won't be able to be elected by small heavily populated areas who have a completely different view of America than those in rural areas. It has worked for two hundred plus years and would be working now if Gore would just stop the legal army he's assembled that is interfering with Florida's electoral laws.

The advantage of an electoral system rooted in state-by-state victories "is that it forces candidates to campaign across a geographically broad set of states," he adds. "That's useful for a person who's going to be president."
Eliminating the Electoral College, traditionalists say, makes no more sense than eliminating the Senate, where some states with tiny populations get just as much representation as behemoths like California and New York. college, I believe that a presidential canidates campaign would
become highly selective and transformed to meet the desires and
interests of the urban culture, after all, America's bulk is in
the metropolis spread. But America is diversive and spectral in
interest and need. Though lower populated states such as Wyoming
may not yield high electoral counts, there is an underlying prospect
and shared interest amoungst the regions of these types of states
accross the midwest, thus balancing the vote even between rural
and urban catagorized states. People should yield to consideration
that although the popular vote may seem fair, it actually fails
to represent the full spectrum of America. This is one of the
predominant reasons for it in the first place. Agriculture is
a basic in American structure, but it is of little interest to
L.A., N.Y.C. and Chicago, each of which fall close and collectively
rival to the population of entire rural states. It would be highly
unlikely that the canidates would address such issues prominantly
in their platforms. Considering the means of current technology,
one could argue that media is readily available to address issues
unbiasly and nationwide. I don't know about you, but I would not
want to begin habit of abolishing constitutional process in faith
and in favor of media coverage of any kind.

In short, the electoral college serves as fair mechanics to equal American policy platform and representation in the White House after the election, rather than acting soley as an election determinant or spoiler in itself.

AL GORE will take the Broward County Election Commission to court tomorrow to force the County to perform a 100% hand recount of the votes cast in Broward county.
